Class is $400, and you must sign up for the class in person.
NOTE: The state now charges $125 to submit Initial Carry paperwork.

Courses will fulfill Maryland carry course requirement.

Please make sure you have 2 magazines for your firearm.

NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course

Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., $500

This introductory eight-hour classroom-based course course teaches new reloaders the essential knowledge, skills, and attitude required to safely reload metallic cartridges. Students will gain practical experience by reloading their own 9mm pistol cartridges during class.

Students will learn:
• Reloading safety
• Components of centerfire cartridges
• How to read and use reloading manuals and data
• Essential reloading tools and equipment
• The step-by-step metallic cartridge reloading process

Every participant will receive:
• NRA Guide to Reloading handbook
• Basic Reloading Student Exam
• Course completion certificate
• NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
• Basic Firearm Training Program brochure
• Course Evaluation form

Please bring a lunch (or be prepared to order food) and a notebook & folder for handouts and notes.

PLEASE make sure you are available for the class dates BEFORE signing up. There are no refunds for classes, but we can move you to a later class date.
